"Black as a raven, dark as a hearse,
black as jealousy and deep dark earth.
White as snow and pure as love,
pale as bone and snowy dove.
Red as blood, raw as grief
red as birth and pure silk sheath.
Black beady eye and feathers white
red evening sky and his wings taking flight"

she’s chaos theory and between the lines
she’s fire and patience
and a pair of red shoes…"

"A brave man would have left them be
appreciated them for what they were
a wild thing
charmed and tousled.
As it was he cut and pulled
until all that remained were neat stumps
brown and hopeless"

My Moleskines- Part 1
During my masters I filled five moleskines like this and two just with notes, plus one book for each of my thirteen tales… they were part logbook part mood-board, full of ideas and images, my own and gathered, inspirations and progress, maps, recipes, tests, superstitions, folklore, my photography, mind maps, thought processes, retellings, poetry and entirely made with love… My tutors didn’t bother to read them all but they severed me well and have a thousand more ideas to keep working on through the coming years…
