Today I’m all rugged up in the hope winter will blow in, bringing snows and turning my world white and new like a blank page, but it’s as mild as early autumn and as grey as a January morning… That ring is black agate, I’m not sure it’s me, it sits heavy and warm on my finger, but I’m told it’s a warriors stone; only the bravest wore them into battle, giving them protection, strength and courage… And so for now it’s mine.
